YY 1042-2011 Dentistry—Polymer-based restorative materials
Basic Information
Scope
This standard specifies the requirements for dental polymer-based restorative materials. These materials are provided in a form suitable for activation by mechanical mixing, manual mixing, or the addition of external energy in the oral cavity or outside the mouth, and are primarily used for the direct or indirect restoration of dental cavities and the bonding of cavities.
The polymer-based bonding materials covered by this standard refer to materials used for the bonding or retention of restorations and restorative devices, such as inlays, high inlays, veneers, crowns, and bridges. This standard does not cover polymer-based bonding materials that contain bonding components in their structure.
This standard does not cover dental materials used for the prevention of dental caries (see YY 0622—2008) or veneer materials used on metal substrates (see YY 0710).
