Scope
This document specifies the opening direction, classification and marking, structure and main dimensions, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation, and storage of single-leaf steel watertight doors for ships (hereinafter referred to as watertight doors).
This document is applicable to the design, manufacture, and inspection of watertight doors used for access to superstructures and deckhouses above the freeboard deck of all types of ships.
