Scope

This standard specifies the terms and definitions, technical requirements, evaluation methods, evaluation indicators, statistical methods, and grading for the industrial design evaluation of household appliances and similar products. This standard applies to the design evaluation of household appliances and similar products with a rated voltage of not more than 250 V for single-phase appliances, and a rated voltage of not more than 480 V for other appliances. Note: Appliances that are not intended for general household use but are used in public environments, such as appliances intended for use by non-professionals in shops, light industry, and farms, can also refer to this standard.
