GB/T 2893的本部分规定了在实际使用中选取、组合和设置安全标志的原则和要求。
本部分适用于除私人住宅之外的公共场所、工作场所或公共建筑中使用的安全标志。
本部分不适用于：
——道路交通标志；
——公共信息图形符号；
——危险货物运输标志。
本部分不包含疏散路线标志和水域安全标志的使用要求。
注1： 疏散路线标志及其使用要求规定在GB/T 23809中。
注2： 水域安全标志及其使用指南的规定分别在GB/T 25895.1和GB/T 25895.3中。
