Scope

This standard specifies the terms and definitions, product identification, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation, and storage requirements for draw-textured polyester filament yarn on islands.
This standard applies to draw-textured polyester filament yarn on islands, in which alkali-soluble polyethylene terephthalate is used as the sea phase and polyethylene terephthalate is used as the island phase. The total linear density is 55.6 dtex to 166.7 dtex, and the single filament line density after unraveling is 0.03 dtex to 0.19 dtex. The yarn has a circular cross-section and is semi-matt or fully matt. Other types of draw-textured polyester filament yarn can be used as a reference for application.
