This document specifies the requirements, test methods, quality certificates, packaging, and marking for steel wire ropes used in the oil and gas industry.
This document is applicable to steel wire ropes used in the oil and gas industry, mainly including the following typical applications: casing lifting ropes, pumping rod suspension ropes, sand retrieval ropes, well washing ropes, cable lifting and lowering ropes, cable armored ropes, drilling ropes, winch ropes, beam pumping units drawworks ropes, downhole blasting ropes, derrick base lifting ropes, guide rope tension ropes, water separator tension ropes, anchoring ropes, lifting slings, and crane ropes.
