This standard applies to the design of water supply and drainage projects for newly built, expanded, or modified mines, open-pit mines, coal preparation plants, repair shops for mechanical and electrical equipment in mining areas, coal loading stations, and auxiliary and affiliated enterprises in mining areas. This standard does not apply to the design of water supply and drainage projects in earthquake-prone areas, collapsible loess areas, expansive soils, permafrost regions, and other geologically special areas.
