Scope
This standard specifies the terms and definitions, models and specifications, design requirements, performance requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation, and storage of firefighters' heat-resistant protective clothing.
This standard applies to the heat-resistant protective clothing worn by firefighters when conducting fire-fighting and rescue operations in areas close to flames or strong heat radiation.
This standard does not apply to the protective clothing worn by firefighters when entering flame zones or having contact with flames during fire-fighting and rescue operations, as well as when handling dangerous chemicals.
