Scope

This part of GB/T 14999 specifies the types and characteristics of common defects and uneven structures in the longitudinal low magnification microstructure of high-temperature alloys, the sampling and preparation of samples, inspection and evaluation, methods of presenting results, and inspection reports, etc.
This part is applicable to the inspection of the longitudinal low magnification microstructure and defects of high-temperature alloy ingots, melt-tested materials, and forged (rolled) billets or parts. Other products can be implemented with reference to this standard.
