Scope
This standard specifies the penetration testing method for determining the acceptance limit of surface discontinuities when a testing procedure is agreed upon in the contract at the request of the buyer. This standard applies to penetration testing of cast steel parts produced by various casting methods. Note: Like all non-destructive testing methods, this standard forms part of the overall assessment or special assessment specified in the contract.
