Scope

This document specifies the energy efficiency grades, energy efficiency limits, and implementation standards for range hoods, ventilation fans, and multi-functional appliances with ventilation functions for household and similar use, and describes the corresponding test methods.
This document applies to:
a) Exhaust-type range hoods installed above household cooking stoves, ovens, or similar appliances, with a rated voltage not exceeding 250 V;
b) Single-phase appliances with a rated voltage not exceeding 250 V, a rated ventilation input power not exceeding 500 W, and a fan wheel diameter not exceeding 500 mm, driven by electric motors, as well as multi-functional appliances with ventilation functions.
This document does not apply to:
a) Cooking fume extraction and exhaust systems for down-suction systems;
b) Commercial range hoods and other commercial cooking fume extraction and exhaust systems;
c) Ventilation fans specifically designed for industrial use;
d) Ventilation fans intended for use in special conditions, such as corrosive, flammable, or explosive gases, dust, steam, or gas;
e) Ventilation fans used in refrigeration equipment or air conditioners, as well as air-to-air energy recovery devices;
f) Ventilation fans embedded in appliances (such as stoves and microwave cooking appliances);
g) Marine ventilation fans;
h) Type C ventilation fans, bidirectional ventilation fans, and Type B and Type D ventilation fans with a maximum static pressure of less than 25 Pa;
i) Ventilation fans with filters and a PM2.5 filtration efficiency of greater than 90% according to the test requirements of GB/T 34012–2017.
Note: The definitions of Type A ventilation fans, Type B ventilation fans, Type C ventilation fans, and Type D ventilation fans are referenced from GB/T 14806–2017.
