Scope
This document specifies the technical requirements for range hoods and other cooking fume extraction and exhaust devices (hereinafter referred to as "appliances") with a rated voltage not exceeding 250 V, including air performance, noise, odor reduction, and grease separation. It describes the corresponding inspection rules and test methods, and stipulates the requirements for marking, packaging, transportation, and storage. It also provides a product classification that facilitates technical regulation. This document does not cover: -- appliances installed for industrial and commercial purposes; -- appliances installed in special environments, such as those where corrosive or explosive gases (dust, steam, or flammable gases) are present.
