Scope

This part of GB/T 21198 specifies the method of determining the palladium content in palladium alloy jewelry by ICP spectrometry using yttrium as an internal standard. This part is applicable to palladium alloy jewelry with a palladium content of 475‰ to 970‰. Note: Palladium alloy jewelry may contain silver, iridium, gallium, copper, cobalt, nickel, tin, and ruthenium. The presence of these alloy elements generally does not interfere with the measurement process.
