Scope
This standard provides guidance on how to consider consumers' needs when formulating service standards. On this basis, specific standards for any service activities can be developed. The checklist provided in this standard (see Chapter 9) can be used by consumer representatives and others involved in standard-setting. According to this checklist, consumers' interests will be fully considered, including the needs of children, the elderly, people with disabilities, and those from different racial and cultural backgrounds.
