GB/T 12977-2008 Balancing machines—Enclosures and other protective measures for the measuring station
Basic Information
Scope
This standard specifies the requirements for protective covers and other protective measures. Protective covers and protective measures are used to reduce the mechanical hazards caused by unbalanced rotors at the measuring stations of centrifugal (rotating) balancing machines. These hazards arise when operating balancing machines to balance various types of rotors and in different balancing states. This standard defines different protection levels for protective covers and other protective measures and specifies the scope of application for each protection level.
This standard does not include devices for adjusting the mass distribution of rotors and devices for transporting rotors, although some of them are assembled at the measuring stations.
This standard does not include the performance of special protective covers, such as: reducing noise, reducing wind resistance, or vacuuming, which may be required when balancing rotors with blades rotating at a balanced speed.
