Scope

This section specifies the instruments and operating procedures used for the absolute calibration of accelerometers using the reciprocity method and the SI International System of Units. This section applies to the calibration of linear accelerometers with a frequency range of 40 Hz to 5 kHz and an acceleration amplitude (depending on the frequency) ranging from 10 m/s 2 to 100 m/s 2. This section is based on the use of the coil of an electric vibration table as a reciprocity sensor.
