Scope

This section specifies the methods of measuring the reference acceleration, velocity, or force over time, and the instrumentation and operating procedures for impact comparison calibration of linear accelerometers. This method is suitable for impact pulses with a duration range of 1) 0.05 ms to 8.0 ms, and a dynamic range (peak value) of 100 m/s2 to 100 km/s2 (related to the pulse duration). These methods can obtain the impact sensitivity of the sensor (that is, the relationship between the peak value of the acceleration sensor output and the peak value of the acceleration). These methods are not used for the calibration of dynamic force sensors used in modal analysis.
