Scope
This standard specifies the terms and definitions, product identification, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation, and storage requirements for shaped polyester drawn filament yarn. This standard applies to: -- Triangular and three-leaf shaped polyester drawn filament yarn with a total linear density of 15 dtex to 700 dtex and a single filament linear density of 0.6 dtex to 8.0 dtex, available in glossy and semi-matte finishes; -- Flat-shaped polyester drawn filament yarn with a total linear density of 15 dtex to 700 dtex and a single filament linear density of 0.6 dtex to 11.0 dtex, available in glossy and semi-matte finishes; -- Flat-shaped polyester drawn filament yarn with a total linear density of 50 dtex to 300 dtex and a single filament linear density of 1.0 dtex to 8.0 dtex, available in fully matte finishes. Other types of shaped polyester drawn filament yarn may be used as reference.
