Scope
This standard specifies the materials, product classification and specifications, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation, and storage of pipes and fittings made from polyethylene resin as the main raw material, which are extruded into pipes and molded or secondary processed into fittings.
This standard applies to high-density polyethylene (HDPE) pipes and fittings used in wastewater, sewage, and rainwater drainage systems of buildings.
The high-density polyethylene pipes specified in this standard are suitable for drainage with a temperature range of 0°C to 65°C, and an instantaneous drainage temperature not exceeding 95°C; they are also suitable for environments with a temperature range of -40°C to 65°C.
