Scope

This part of GB/T 18340 specifies the mass spectrometry analysis method, quantitative calculation process, and analysis quality requirements for the composition of aromatic hydrocarbons in petroleum heavy fractions.
This part is applicable to the quantitative analysis of 18 aromatic hydrocarbons and 3 aromatic thiophenes in petroleum heavy fractions (with a boiling range of 205 °C to 540 °C). The sample should not contain olefins, the total sulfur content should be less than 1% of the total weight, and the content of non-aromatic compounds should be less than 5%.
