Scope

This document describes the measurement methods for the requirements of plasticizers in GB 6675.1—2014.
This document describes the measurement methods for seven phthalate plasticizers (according to the specifications in Table A.1) in toys and children's products, including diisobutyl phthalate (DIBP), dibutyl phthalate (DBP), benzyl butyl phthalate (BBP), di(2-ethylhexyl) phthalate (DEHP), dicyclohexyl phthalate (DNOP), diisononyl phthalate (DINP), and diisodecyl phthalate (DIDP).
This document is applicable to toys and children's products containing polymers and similar materials, textiles, coatings, and liquid materials, and complies with GB 6675.1—2014. Section 5.3.7. This document has been validated for polyvinyl chloride (PVC), polyurethane (PU), and some typical paint coatings, as shown in Appendix B. Other toy and children's product materials can be measured using this document after validation.
The detection of other phthalate plasticizers can be conducted using this document after validation.
