GB/T 41877.1-2022 Plastics—Ethylene-vinyl alcohol (EVOH) copolymer moulding and extrusion materials—Part 1:Designation system and basis for specifications
Basic Information
Scope
This document specifies a naming system for ethylene-vinyl alcohol (EVOH) copolymer thermoplastic materials, which can serve as a basis for classification.
Different types of ethylene-vinyl alcohol (EVOH) copolymer thermoplastic materials are distinguished by values of specified characteristic properties, such as melt mass flow rate, as well as recommended applications and/or processing methods, important properties, additives, colorants, fillers, and reinforcing materials, etc., based on a classification system.
This document applies to copolymers of ethylene and vinyl alcohol with an ethylene content (mole fraction) of 15% to 60%. This document applies to materials that are typically in the form of powders, granules, or crushed particles, unmodified or modified with colorants, additives, fillers, etc.
This document does not imply that materials with the same name must have the same performance. This document does not provide the engineering data, performance data, or processing condition data required to describe the special applications and/or processing methods of the materials. If necessary, these additional information can be determined using the test methods specified in GB/T 41877.2.
To illustrate the special applications of thermoplastic materials or to ensure the reproducibility of processing, additional information can be provided in character group 4 and character group 5 (see Chapter 4).
