Scope

This document specifies the methods and conditions for the preparation of samples and performance determination of ethylene-vinyl alcohol (EVOH) molding and extrusion materials. This document also specifies the pretreatment of test materials and the requirements for adjusting the state of samples before testing.
This document lists the appropriate and necessary performance and test methods for characterizing ethylene-vinyl alcohol (EVOH) molding and extrusion materials. These performance are selected from the general test methods in GB/T 19467.1. This document also lists other test methods that are widely used or of particular significance for molding and extrusion materials, as well as the melt mass flow rate determination method specified in GB/T 41877.1.
In order to ensure the reproducibility and repeatability of test results, it is necessary to use the methods specified in this document for sample preparation and state adjustment, as well as the specified sample sizes and test methods. Test data obtained from samples prepared under different conditions or using different sample sizes may be inconsistent.
