Scope

This standard specifies the application and design of the combination of safety valves and bursting disc safety devices (hereinafter referred to as combination devices), their installation, the determination of the discharge correction coefficient, the application of the discharge correction coefficient, marking, quality certificates, packaging, and transportation.
This standard applies to series-connected combination structures where the distance from the outlet side of the bursting disc safety device to the inlet side of the safety valve is not greater than 5 times the pipe diameter.
