Scope

This standard specifies the terms and definitions, classification, basic requirements, protection against electric shock hazards, input power, leakage current and electrical strength under operating temperature, waterproof and moisture resistance, heating and abnormal operation, structure, external and internal wiring, grounding devices, electrical clearance and creepage distance, heat and flame resistance, lightning protection, mechanical safety protection, and marking and instructions for electrical parts of sports equipment with a rated voltage of not more than 250 V for single-phase equipment and not more than 480 V for other equipment.
This standard applies to the safety of sports equipment with a rated voltage of not more than 250 V for single-phase equipment and not more than 480 V for other equipment.
This standard does not apply to the electrical parts of medical rehabilitation equipment, boats, aircraft, motor vehicles, model airplanes, and model cars.
