Basic Information
Scope
1.1GB 15092 This part of the standard stipulates that switches shall be operated by humans through actuators, or by activating sensors. The actuators or sensors may be physically or electrically integrated with the switches, or configured separately. They may also include signal transmission between the actuators or sensors and the switches, such as electrical, optical, acoustic, or temperature signal transmission.
This part applies to mechanical or electronic switches driven by hand, foot, or other human actions for operating or controlling household or similar electrical appliances and other equipment, with a rated voltage not exceeding 480 V and a rated current not exceeding 63 A.
Switches with additional control functions subject to on/off requirements are within the scope of this part.
This part also includes indirectly driven switches, where the operation of the actuators or sensors is achieved by a remote control, a part of the appliance or equipment (such as a door).
