Scope
This standard specifies the classification and marking, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, and labels of passenger vehicle X-ray security inspection systems, as well as their accompanying documents.
This standard applies to the design, manufacture, and inspection of passenger vehicle security inspection systems based on X-ray imaging technology.
This standard does not apply to passenger vehicle X-ray security inspection systems that use computed tomography (CT) technology and have an X-ray generator with an energy level exceeding 1 MeV.
