Scope
This section specifies the characteristics that should be provided in the amplifier specifications, as well as the corresponding measurement methods.
This section applies to analog amplifiers that make up professional or home audio systems, as well as the analog components of analog/digital amplifiers.
Generally, the measurement methods provided are most directly related to the definitions, but this does not exclude the use of other methods that can yield equivalent results.
The rated conditions and standard measurement conditions specified in this section are referred to as the specifications and measurement conditions in the following text.
