Scope

This standard specifies the basic requirements for personnel and equipment during X-ray radiography of titanium alloy welds in submersibles, as well as the X-ray penetration method and quality grading.
This standard applies to X-ray inspection of titanium alloy welds in deep-sea submersibles with an outer diameter of not less than 500 mm and a wall thickness of 5 mm to 110 mm. The X-ray radiography of other titanium alloy structural welds used in ships can be used for reference.
