Scope

This document specifies two test methods for determining the minimum air volume of welding fume collection and separation equipment, including testing principles, instruments, test methods, and test report requirements.
This document is applicable to collection hoods, collection nozzles, and flat-mouth collection nozzles with a length-to-hose diameter ratio of 8:1 or less, as well as welding gun fume suction devices. It is not applicable to down-draft ventilation workbenches.
