Scope
This standard specifies the classification and marking of seven-wire prestressed steel strands with melt-bonded filling and coating epoxy coatings, the order content, materials, pretreatment of prestressed steel strands before coating, coating application, technical requirements, allowable coating damage and repair of damaged coatings, test methods, inspection rules, packaging, marking, and quality certificates. This standard applies to prestressed engineering, especially to prestressed steel strands with high anti-corrosion requirements, including internally prestressed steel strands, externally prestressed steel strands, prestressed steel strands in geotechnical anchoring, and suspension bridge steel strand cables, etc. It does not apply to single-wire spray-coated prestressed steel strands with epoxy coatings.
