Scope

This document specifies the classification, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, and marking, packaging, transportation, and storage of extruded polystyrene foam (EPS) used for insulation. This document applies to extruded polystyrene foam with a closed-cell structure, which is made by heating pre-foamed expandable polystyrene beads in a mold and has a use temperature not exceeding 75℃. It also applies to products cut from such extruded polystyrene foam. This document also applies to extruded polystyrene foam modified by adding additives such as graphite and its cut products.
