Scope

This standard applies to the alarm systems of all types of passenger elevators and freight elevators.
This standard specifies the minimum information to be provided to elevator owners regarding maintenance services and rescue services.
This standard takes into account the main hazards of elevator users being trapped due to the elevator's failure to operate properly when the elevator is used for its intended purpose and under the conditions specified by the supplier.
This standard does not apply to alarm systems seeking help in other situations, such as heart attacks, information inquiries, etc.
This standard supplements the relevant provisions of GB 7588—2003 and GB 21240—2007 regarding emergency alarm devices in Section 14.2.3.
