Scope

1.1 This standard specifies the safety guidelines that should be followed in the manufacture and installation of new permanently installed hydraulic elevators. This standard applies to hydraulic elevators in which the carriages are supported by hydraulic cylinders or suspended by steel ropes or chains, and operate on rails with a tilt angle of no more than 15° to the vertical plane, used to transport passengers or goods to designated floor stations. 1.2 In addition to the requirements of this standard, supplementary requirements should be considered in special circumstances (potential explosive environments, harsh climatic conditions, earthquake conditions, transportation of dangerous goods, etc.).
