Scope
This standard specifies the terms and definitions, classification and marking, basic requirements, testing methods, inspection rules, marking, transportation, storage, etc. of non-metallic and composite air ducts.
This standard applies to non-metallic and composite air ducts used in ventilation and air conditioning, as well as smoke control and exhaust systems of newly built, expanded, and renovated industrial and civil buildings.
The non-metallic and composite air ducts referred to in this standard include non-metallic air ducts and composite air ducts, hereinafter referred to as air ducts.
