Scope

This standard specifies the terms and definitions, classification and identification, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules and marking, packaging, transportation, and storage requirements for preoriented polybutylene terephthalate (PBT) filament yarns.
This standard applies to preoriented polybutylene terephthalate (PBT) filament yarns with a total linear density of 30 dtex to 600 dtex, a single filament linear density of 1.25 dtex to 10.00 dtex, a circular cross-section, and natural or semi-matte colors, suitable for stretch and draw applications. Direct weaving or other preoriented PBT filament yarns can be used as a reference for application.
