Scope

This standard specifies the calibration methods and procedures for liquid automatic particle counters, including: a) performing a first-level particle size calibration for liquid automatic particle counters capable of analyzing bottled liquid samples, measuring the counting performance and sensor resolution; b) performing a second-level particle size calibration using a suspension verified by a first-level calibrated liquid automatic particle counter; c) determining the acceptable operating range and performance limits; d) using RM 8632 to verify the performance of the particle sensor; e) measuring the coincidence error limit and flow rate limit.
