Standard Type: National standards
Standard Status: Replaced
is_force_gb: no
CCS Name: Explosion-proof electrical appliances
ICS Name: Electric equipment for use in explosive environments
Publish Date: 2009-11-15

Scope

This standard specifies the requirements for equipment that can withstand explosion pressure and explosion pressure shocks.
This standard applies to explosion-resistant equipment and systems in industrial processes. It does not apply to individual parts of equipment such as motors and gearboxes, which can be designed to meet the requirements of explosion-proof enclosures for non-electrical equipment in explosive environments (type "d"), capable of withstanding internal explosions.
The environmental conditions applicable to this standard are: an atmospheric pressure range of 0.08 MPa to 0.11 MPa, and a temperature range of -20°C to +60°C. This standard also assists in the design, manufacture, inspection, and marking of equipment used in environments outside the above effective range, provided there are no specific standard requirements for such equipment.
This standard applies to equipment and equipment combinations that may experience deflagration, but not to those that may experience detonation. This standard cannot be used for offshore facilities.
Note: This standard only applies to equipment made of metal materials.
