Scope

This document describes the method for determining the content of insoluble impurities in animal and vegetable oils.
This document is applicable to animal and vegetable oils. If soaps (especially calcium soaps) or oxidized fatty acids are not included in the calculation of the content of insoluble impurities, different solvents and operating methods should be used to ensure that the determination of the content of insoluble impurities meets the relevant requirements.
This document is not applicable to milk and dairy products (referring to the oils extracted from milk and dairy products).
