Scope
This standard specifies the technical requirements, test methods, and inspection rules for the oxidative coloration of stainless steel surfaces.
This standard applies to the oxidative coloration of stainless steel plates, profiles, and workpieces by chemical or electrochemical methods. The high-temperature oxidation method for stainless steel coloration can also be used for reference.
This standard does not apply to stainless steel coloration carried out by other methods, such as ion deposition, gas deposition, and organic coating.
