Scope

This standard specifies the terms and definitions, detection principles, detection methods, comparison samples, detection equipment, detection conditions and procedures, result determination, and detection reports for magnetic flux leakage detection of ferromagnetic round steel. This standard is applicable to the surface and near-surface magnetic flux leakage detection of round steel (including steel wire) with a diameter of 10 mm to 350 mm. Other specifications can be implemented in accordance with this standard.
