Scope

This standard specifies the protective measures (including material protection measures and comprehensive protection measures) and related technical requirements necessary for the erosion protection of small hydropower turbines. This standard applies to the erosion protection of hydropower turbines with a unit power of 500 kW to 15 MW, including the erosion protection of new, expanded, modified, or already operational power stations. The erosion protection of hydropower turbines with an installed capacity of less than 500 kW can be implemented in accordance with this standard.
