Scope

This document specifies the requirements for the first-level probabilistic safety assessment (PSA) of internal events in low-power and shutdown conditions to ensure that the standardized PSA models developed for different design schemes of nuclear power units meet the corresponding quality requirements. This document applies to the first-level PSA of internal events (excluding internal disasters such as internal flooding and internal fire) in light water pressurized water reactors during the design phase, construction phase, and operation phase. Nuclear power plants of other reactor types can refer to and implement this document. The radioactive source terms discussed in this document only consider the radioactivity from the reactor core fuel.
