Scope

This standard specifies the basic requirements for the welding process evaluation of welding gas cylinders.
This standard applies to the welding process evaluation of welding gas cylinders made of carbon steel, low-alloy steel, austenitic stainless steel, ferritic stainless steel, and austenitic-ferritic stainless steel, using welding methods such as electrode arc welding, submerged arc welding, tungsten inert gas welding, gas metal arc welding, and plasma arc welding.
This standard does not apply to the welding process evaluation of industrial non-refillable welding steel cylinders.
