Scope

This standard specifies the arrangement and marking of wiring terminals for external connection of industrial automation instruments. This standard applies to wiring terminals for external connection of panel-mounted industrial automation instruments (hereinafter referred to as terminals); wiring terminals for non-panel-mounted instruments can also be used for reference. This standard does not apply to non-terminal boards (such as connectors) or instruments with external connection terminals that have special usage requirements (such as explosion-proof).
