Scope
This document specifies the terms and definitions, rated values, design and structure, and testing of DC voltage transformers (DCVTs) that can output either analog or digital signals using any technology, as well as all supplementary technical requirements.
This document applies to newly manufactured voltage transformers used for measurement, protection, and/or control in DC power systems with a rated voltage greater than 1.5 kV.
This document covers passive voltage dividers and active voltage transformers used for measurement, control, and protection.
Note: Figure 601 of GB/T 20840.6-2017 describes the general configuration of single-pole low-power transformers.
