GB 19726.1-2013 Machinery for forestry—Portable chain-saw safety requirements and testing—Part 1:Chain-saws for forest service
Basic Information
Scope
This part of GB 19726 specifies the safety requirements and test methods for the design and structure of portable forestry chainsaws powered by internal combustion engines (hereinafter referred to as forestry chainsaws). This part applies to handheld forestry chainsaws used by a single operator (the forestry chainsaws covered by this part are those used by operators who have read and understood the safety requirements in the user manual and used the correct personal protective equipment. The forestry chainsaws can only be operated with the right hand on the rear handle and the left hand on the front handle). This part provides methods to eliminate or reduce various hazards generated during the use of forestry chainsaws, and stipulates the requirements for safety operation information provided by manufacturers.
This part outlines all serious hazards associated with the normal use and reasonable, foreseeable misuse of forestry chainsaws, but excludes the hazards caused by the recoil or balance of forestry chainsaws with an engine displacement of more than 80 cm3.
