Scope

This standard specifies the terms and definitions, classification and marking, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, samples, packaging, transportation, and storage of water evaporative cooling air conditioning units (referred to as "units").
This standard applies to units with a water direct evaporative cooler, an indirect evaporative cooler, or a multi-stage evaporative cooler as the air cooling section. Water evaporative cooling air conditioning units with other cold sources as auxiliary cold sources for the air cooling section can refer to this standard for implementation.
