Scope

This document stipulates the management responsibilities of shipbuilding (repair) enterprises in Shanghai (hereinafter referred to as "ship enterprises") for open flame operations, the safety requirements for related equipment, grade classification, approval authority, content and requirements, operating procedures, and emergency response. This document applies to the fire safety management of open flame operations in ship enterprises during construction, modification, and repair. Under certain circumstances, such operations as baking (using electric heaters, iodine tungsten lamps, and flame torches), melting, power drilling, and grinding wheel operations, ship enterprises may refer to this regulation for implementation according to their actual safety management needs.
