This standard specifies the raw materials, product classification, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation, and storage of steel wire mesh skeletons continuously wound and welded into shape and polyethylene (medium or high density) thermoplastic resins, which are compounded into steel skeleton polyethylene plastic composite pipes by extrusion (hereinafter referred to as composite pipes or SRPE).
This standard applies to composite pipes used for pressure water delivery and drinking water in buildings, overhead and underground applications. The temperature of the medium transported by the composite pipes should not exceed 70°C during long-term use, and should not exceed 80°C during non-long-term use.
